Christmas in Copenhagen

Dinner tables, decorated trees, red hearts that beat in the center. And markets, biscuits, pastries packed with goodness and Santa Claus who will you take pictures on the slide.
Even the most jaded in Copenhagen found a moment in the spirit of Christmas. That's the true one, from when we were children and this was the most awaited festival. Decorated trees everywhere, lights, throbbing hearts as decorations, traditional markets, pastry filled with sweets and then a soft white blanket of snow to cover everything. The city in this period is truly magical and is worth a visit, without doubts.

Linz & the Christmas' markets

The smell of cookies, of the famous Linzer factory, and grilled hot dogs, which spreads between the stalls and bakeries, the suggestive spectacle of lights that color the city streets, making Advent shopping much more suggestive, than it already is. This is Christmas in Linz, the European Capital of Culture 2009, which, during the holiday season, wants to continue to amaze.
There are three important markets: There is the Christkindlmarkt, the Market Hautplatz of Tradition in the baroque, the city's main square, where you can rediscover the pleasure of the most elegant designs to "do Christmas" even at home crafts more authentic. Then also Wintermarkt Pfarrplatz am, the market's winter Pfarrplatz where artisans and farmers offer their products more attractive, all done by hand. And finally, the Finnisches Weihnachtsdorf, the Finnish market in the Altstadt, the old town, dedicated to the design and the many forms of nature;it offers high quality design items, not only finnish ones, inspired by the wonderful world of trees, bows snow, flowers, animals, colors of the sky.

Vienna pearl of Europe

City of Sachertorte, the waltz and the magnificent baroque buildings, is a mix of history, tradition and modern hospitality. From architecture to music, everything from art to gastronomy tells us of a glorious past and a timeless charm.
Vienna is known for its beautiful castles, among which the Belvedere and Schönbrunn. Regarded as the Austric version of Versailles, Schönbrunn was the summer residence of Empress Sissi. This baroque castle boasts a good reputation. Was there, in the hall of mirrors, where performed the musical genius Mozart at the age of 6 years.
For centuries, Vienna has hosted high-profile artists and thinkers in many fields, from literature to painting through the music: Egon Schiele, Konrad Lorenz, Musil, Mahler, Klimt and the father of psychoanalysis Sigmund Freud, and Strauss, all names who brought fame to a city became an important center of European cultural.
It should also be noted the extreme importance of the Prater ferris wheel. Immortalized in thousands of images from postcards to posters, has become the symbol of fun and leisure attractions of the Habsburgs. Pagan counterpart to St. Stephen's Cathedral, the largest Ferris wheel is always a favorite of visitors to Vienna, no matter whether the first or the umpteenth time. A wheel from a height of 64.75 meters provides a breathtaking view over the city.
Its beauty, the ubiquitous green parks and gardens, the timeless charm, air quality has earned the Austrian capital's prestigious recognition of being one of the highest life-quality cities among the ones in Europe.

Travel's aphorisms

The trip must be aligned with the most severe forms of research.Sure there are other ways to make the acquaintance of the world. But the traveller is a slave to his senses, his grip on a fact can only be complete when reinforced by sensory evidence, and he can really know the world only when he sees, hears and smells it.
(Lord Byron)

Cities on the Water

From China to India, from Mali to Russia, from Florida to Mexico and Peru, the other Venezie the world, including canals, rivers and game highlights.
Venice is Venice but if the “Serenissima”, the city of canals, enjoys an undisputed international reputation, there are others that took her “nickname” (the Venice of the North, the Venice of the East) and that, although perhaps less known, are equally unique and interesting, each in its own way unique and charming.
The first thought is now the most famous and near, Amsterdam, lively Dutch city to be experienced and admired. But in the land of Van Gogh there is also no longer the small town of Delft, now known for its porcelain, Delft pottery, architecture and technological innovation.
Birmingham also boasts an extensive network of canals as measured, would have extended even higher than those of Venice. They are the ones, Once a key to the commerce of the city during the Industrial Revolution of the nineteenth century, to represent the main tourist attraction in this town, central England.
Also in Europe, but much further east and further north, then there's St. Petersburg: refined and somber at the same time, very European in style (it was designed by the architect Domenico Trezzini, from Rome), but Russian soul. Here along the Neva the city from April to November is a great sight, especially during the white nights of June, when the sky is reflected in the water is never completely dark.
Thanks to Fort Lauderdale, in Florida, even the United States can boast their original Venice, complete with gondola service.
We can also mention Alappuzha city in Kerala Indian(in south east coast),Suzhou in China and Xochimilco in Mexico.

"The real travelers are only those that match by match, light hearts, similar to the balloons, they never separated from their fatalism, and without knowing why, they always say "Come on", their wishes have the shapes of clouds ..."
