Linz & the Christmas' markets

The smell of cookies, of the famous Linzer factory, and grilled hot dogs, which spreads between the stalls and bakeries, the suggestive spectacle of lights that color the city streets, making Advent shopping much more suggestive, than it already is. This is Christmas in Linz, the European Capital of Culture 2009, which, during the holiday season, wants to continue to amaze.
There are three important markets: There is the Christkindlmarkt, the Market Hautplatz of Tradition in the baroque, the city's main square, where you can rediscover the pleasure of the most elegant designs to "do Christmas" even at home crafts more authentic. Then also Wintermarkt Pfarrplatz am, the market's winter Pfarrplatz where artisans and farmers offer their products more attractive, all done by hand. And finally, the Finnisches Weihnachtsdorf, the Finnish market in the Altstadt, the old town, dedicated to the design and the many forms of nature;it offers high quality design items, not only finnish ones, inspired by the wonderful world of trees, bows snow, flowers, animals, colors of the sky.
